International investors are playing an increasing role in shaping housing markets, says research published by the Netherlands Bank.
“Low returns on financial assets, such as bonds, also contribute to increasing demand for real estate,” says the DNB report. It says there is a “growing presence of international investors in residential and commercial property markets, since these markets are still delivering above-average returns.”
