President Donald Trump has criticised the Federal Reserve for being “slow to act” in tackling the coronavirus epidemic.
Trump urged the Fed to cut interest rates, following the lead of several other central banks who have acted to contain the economic impacts of the virus.
Total cases are now over 80,000, with a death toll of just over 2,900, the most recent World Health Organisation report shows. The US has 63 confirmed cases.
